Mechanical Product Design Engineer

The company has manufacturing operations in Oregon and the United Kingdom and markets its products world-wide.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
• Manage mechanical product development from concept through specification, design, prototyping, and fabrication • Develop and manage the mechanical budget and schedule for the product • Produce concept drawings for new products • Detail mechanical design for new products and ancillary components including material specifications and fabrication drawings. • Manage production with tooling and fabrication vendors • Design specialized production equipment • Provide mechanical technical support for product and process improvement • Prepare technical documentation including design patents .
 
Qualifications:
 
BSME required. • 1-5 years experience in product design, preferably plastics • Proficiency with 3D solid modeling CAD tools (Solidworks) • Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes and materials (injection molding, sheet metal, fiberglass, composites, metal) • Ability to work effectively with suppliers, vendors and in cross functional teams. • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, etc.) • Good organization, communication, attention to detail, and quality focus skills.

Instrumentation Repair Technician

Repair Technician and Production Test Support.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
The Electronics Technician applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve metal detector failures. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools and testing instruments. Technician will work with engineering support group to help design new production test equipment. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. .
 
Qualifications:
 
Associate Degree, Military, or 2 Years’ Experience in electronics repair required. Person should be experienced in building and troubleshooting electronic circuits, both analog and digital. Proficient in soldering skills. Good organization, communication and technical writing skills. Customer service skills a plus.
