Design electronic metal detecting products from concept through final testing.
Ongoing market evaluation leading to development of new product proposals. Research and design of new products including analog and digital circuitry, embedded firmware, user interface, prototyping, field testing, test processes and documentation for manufacturing, evaluation of packaging design, patent application if warranted, and user manuals and instructions. Lead product project teams and mentor other engineers.
BSEE or MSEE plus 5 years of experience in instrumentation circuitry design. (Knowledge of metal detecting or induction theory would be a plus.) Experience with: design of low noise analog circuits, zero-IF and direct sampling methods, ACE, DAC and DDS chips, analog and digital filters, embedded programming in C and C++, 16 and 32 bit processors including dsPic and ARM-based chips, and use of Spice, MathCad, Matlab, and Microsoft Office.
Good organization, communication and technical writing skills.
