Dear White's,

In April of 2007 we had a huge Nor'easter that tore up the beaches of the North Shore of Mass. This storm lasted a few days during the full moon tides causing massive beach erosion. One of my favorite beaches had close to 18ft of sand removed from a section of the beach making a big hole.

I got to the beach while the tide was still high and waited for it to pull out. It was worth the wait I was the first person on the beach and for 2 hours had this hole to myself. My first target as I walked on the beach was an 1898 Barber quarter. I then dug silver coin after silver coin.. Seated, Barber, Mercury and Rosie Silver dimes, Barbers’ and Washington Silver quarters, Silver Jefferson War Nickels. I also got some big silver coins, Walking liberty half dollars and a 1964 Kennedy half dollar.

Along with the silver coins I dug many Indian Head pennies, Wheat pennies, buffalo and V-nickels and modern clad. This hole gave up lots of silver jewelry and my favorite...2 heavy "old" Gold class rings. There was lots of rusty iron in this hole but the BeachHunter ID picked out the goodies from the iron.

I knew if I got a yellow or green light from the BeachHunter it was a good target! All of the items picture came from the 2 low tides this hole was open before the ocean filled it back in...The "hole" reopened in a 2009 Nor'easter, but that's another story.

Thanks White’s

George
