White's,

A few weeks back, I told my granddaughter Hannah that I would take her to find a birthday nugget. Yesterday was the day, for today is her birthday. She slept overnight and we were out early.

We packed enough food and water for a 3 day trip, Grandma said that we looked as though we were going out for a week. Even if we didn't find gold, we were going to have a good time. We looked hard all day, but not a nugget wanted to be found.

It was 3:30pm and we were tired, and about ready to pack it in, when I heard Hannah say, "Granddad I think that I might have one." It was a mud ball, and you couldn't see gold until she rubbed it. Sure enough it was a nice 1 dwt nugget. She found it with my GMT and the stock DD coil. What a great birthday present it was. She is looking forward to getting back out as soon as we can.
