The M6 specializes in finding coins and jewelry with turn-on-and-go convenience.
It’s a high-performance, MXT-style detector that’s suitable for all kinds of ground conditions and is equally at home in parks and yards, playgrounds, and even at the beach. It’s simple to use with three controls that all have easy-set labels and still offer full-range maximum depth.

Love my detector! Had M6 for about 5 yrs. Found tons of civil war buttons and bullets. Found jewelry and coins as well. Love using it but backlight would help late evening hunts. As said above backlight would be a plus. I know this would use battery life but an on and off switch for light would solve this problem and conserve power. The M6 is great, not sure which coil is best for depth. Civil war relics are generally deep so a deep signal coil is a plus. The AA battery's usually last about 6 hrs. At 11-12 volts. 12-13 is best for depth but 11 is good. Love it and recommend it to anyone. Would like a DFX but kind of pricey! I would compare this metal detector(M6) to an MXT.
awesomenessI bought my M6 around 2007-08. Found more than enough to pay for 3 to 4 times over. Easy to use. Found many silver and gold jewelry. Countless amount of coins. Many other cool antique items. Only thing I did to my M6 was upgrade the coil, which even made it that much better.
Detector perfection. One of the best detectors ever produced! It is great on the beach, great inland, simple to operate, versatile coil choice and built to last. Whenever I go out with this detector I expect to find something and I'm rarely disappointed. As far as simplicity and performance go, I do not think this machine has any equal. I have owned many detectors over the years including ones that many would call top end, but if I had to choose one detector the M6 would be it. It is Awesome.
GREAT MACHINE MY M6on the beach it works well in the us, this year I found a $1000.00 diamond & gold ring that an art dealer friend had lost in 10 mjnutes he could not believeit he was a happy camper,3 weeks ago a young girl and her parents where looking along a road I stopped my car and found that the young girl had lost her favorite ring they could not believe that I had a metal detector in my trunk, found the ring in a jiffy,i am still working on my latest find in the woods ,a 4 inch brass bowl but im going to need an arquiologist to determine the date,it was in 14 inches of dirt
Top end simplistic machine. For the type of detecting that I like to do ( old homestead sites & Ghost Towns) this machine really works great. It is a MXT in C/J mode minus the other 2 modes that the MXT has. I have a MXT Pro and actually use this machine more. I really like the 2 knobs and 1 toggle. I use the Eclipse 5.3 coil and the 5" Excelerator coil. Have found lots of old coins and trade tokens with this machine. Had they put a back light on this machine it would be a near perfect machine for the type of hunting I like to do. All in all its a great machine. If you want top end performance in a easy to use machine.......this is it.
Great simple powerful detectorThe M6 is about the simplest most powerful detector I have ever used and I have tried many. Its amazing how they packed a super powerful detector in such a simple machine. The quality of the build is the best you can find anywhere on the market. Thanks White's for making me such a proud owner of a bound to be classic detector.
I love this detectorI could not be happier with my new detector. I have found it to do an excellent job of isolating coins buried between trash when paired with a smaller DD coil. It has a really fast recovery time. I've been trying the stock coil lately and I really like it; it goes deep on coins. There is a large selection of coils available for my detector & I've already found enough clad to get another one to try out.
One of the biggest thrills I've ever had in detecting is getting a solid high tone and high VDI on the M6….then the pinpoint shows that it's 6"+ deep and coin-sized. I love this detector. Thanks White's!
