Fits all models except TM 808. Does not require disassembly of instrument.
Most of the time I don't use a case, I just put my detectors in the trunk of my car. But I live in the High Desert of CA and LA County runs summer beach buses from Lancaster and Palmdale to Santa Monica Pier at extremely good prices ($6 round trip or $2 for seniors!) and it's a hassle to carry my detector and scoop, etc. on the bus with me. I just put everything in this case and stow it in the luggage compartment and don't worry about it getting damaged! I remove what I need from the case when I get to the beach and leave the case in the bus until it returns to pick us up.
Good but could be much better with little effort or additional cost.
I own two of these cases. One loaded with a DFX and one with a MXT. They are very handy. I even keep an extra coil attached to a second lower rod in each of the cases. My only complaint is the zipper is very light weight. They have very weak small zipper pulls something more frequently found on the back of a woman's dress. I have broken the pull off of one of the main zippers. I have a paperclip acting as a replacement pull. The case still looks new so I'm not ready to retire it.
A must own
very nice for protecting detector and keeping supplies together
