Metal Detector Used: Other (800-0284-LSP)

Dear White’s,

I’ll start out by saying If we’d only knew then, what we know now, we would have never bought the two other metal detectors.

After looking on the internet we saw that K-Mart must have been running a special on Isle 6. The reason I say that is because the Titon 3000 XD has that “K-Mart” look. Needless to say my brother Ray and I were not pleased with it. He received it around the 20th of August 07’ and even after using it for about two months and finding mostly that it did not fit what we were looking for so we figured that we’d go with something more dependable.

Our second mishap came around the 1st of November, when Ray purchased a Garrett through a local dealer. The biggest problem we see here is not being able to field test the detectors that he had, to see which one we liked the best.

After talking to a friend about detecting and seeing how well the White’s DFX worked we became hooked. It only took a short time before a quarter in their driveway was detected about 1 inch deep, dug out and in the guys hand. Oh sure no detector is 100% “full proof” but we do like working with the DFX.

Our first DFX came when White’s ran their Christmas special. Ray purchased it, but by then the ground was frozen solid. After working with the DFX, and ray digging up coin after coin, while I still struggled with the Garrett it was about time to trade in the 2500.

Now that we are both using the DFX and both very well pleased with how they work. It’s time to say thanks for a very good detector. After using them both for only our first partial season- I’d like to say Ray and I have done pretty well. Already we’ve come up with 8 rings, one ear phone, and $91.75 in quarters, $50.10 in dimes, $8.40 in nickels and lots of pennies. Our best day was 72 quarters, 34 dimes, 10 nickels and around 65 pennies in extreme dry conditions at our local park.

Thanks again for a great product!
