   Greetings from Illinois,

I thought I would submit a little description of my recent experience with the Spectra V3. I've been involved in the metal detecting hobby for approximately 20+ years, and recently upgraded to the V3.

Where I live it's currently a bit hard to get out and find anything good due to frozen ground, so on a recent business trip, I brought the new toy along with me to try for the first time. I did a little research on the area I was going to be visiting and found some good candidate parks to try.

In a matter of about 10 minutes I dug a diamond ring from about 7 inches. Along with that nice little sparkle, I dug a fair number of coins. I was latterly finding so many coins that my back was sore from picking them up. I only searched about a 20 x 20 foot square area. This machine seems to have the depth meter pegged for targets. I can honestly say I love it.

I am convinced that this machine is going to break new ground in a number of parks that I hunt on occasion. Its trash discrimination is excellent and I love the versatility of it.
