   White's Electronics,

In fall of 2009, I received permission to go metal detecting on some property in Upstate New York which once was owned by John Astor IV (the millionaire who died on the Titanic). On this property, Mr Astor allowed retired Priests to start a small colony and live on the property for as long as they wished.

While metal detecting the property I found several Indian Head Pennies, an 1858 flying Eagle, but the most significant find was a badge. At first, I thought it was a toy sheriff badge, but once I got home and cleaned it, I was amazed at what I had found. An 1893 Grover Cleveland Inauguration Badge! I now have the badge displayed in a shadow box in my home.

There is nothing better than finding historical items such as this badge, and I owe it all to White's DFX!!

Happy Hunting,

Scott (NY)
