Dear White's,

I'm a fan of the White’s metal detectors. We purchased our first White’s metal detector in the late 70's and still have it. I did a lot of detecting back then, but then life got hectic so we gave it up for a while. But occasionally I would get it out and hunt. We have been wanting to get back into detecting so in 2010 we purchased a DFX.

Last year April 2011 my husband and I went to a club hunt in Chillicothe, Illinois. This would be our first club hunt with this club. All I was finding was junk most of the day. This was a new machine and I hadn't used it much. My husband was finding all kinds of things with his detector and I was really getting frustrated. A club member offered to adjust my DFX for me. Off and way I went, with my new adjustments, finally I started finding things.

Later that day I finally found something worth shouting about. I was so excited, tried to call my husband on his cell phone to brag. He wasn't answering his phone. So I went back where a few people were sitting and taking a break. Just had to tell someone, I was so excited.

My DFX knocked the socks off of all the club detectors that day. I found a 1916 Obverse S Walking Liberty Half dollar. I got find of the year for the most valuable coin and I found it with my DFX at our club.

I would also like to Thank White’s Electronics for your generous donations to our club. I am now a proud owner of a White’s Hat won at this year’s hunt.

Thanks so Much,

Star (IL)
