Dear White's,

I received a call to see if I could search for a lost diamond ring this morning. I met with the homeowner and learned that the search area was comprised of several hedges that he had been trimming the previous day. My strategy was to look for shallow targets with a VDI between 15 and 35, based on the description of the ring. (Man's 14Kt yellow gold, size 10).

About 20 minutes into the hunt I got a solid hit with a VDI of 26. I moved some leaves and there it was! A man's 14Kt ring with a really nice diamond solitaire. I learned that the ring had been made using his late wife's engagement diamond and of course had a lot of sentimental value. The owner was absolutely amazed and ecstatic when I handed him the ring!!

The 6T with the little 4X6"DD shooter was the perfect setup for getting in tight under the hedges where the ring was found.

Thanks White's for building such a great detector!!
