My TH friend and I had been working on permission to detect a turn of the century home in town, near the old court house. Finally we got in. The catch was we had to do it early on a weekend. So Saturday rolls around and of course it real cold that morning. The digs were sparse with no silver coins, and just one good find, 1865 indian Head. I was pretty stoked about that, since our area was settled in 1870's. So we just chalked it up to another dig we got too excited about, and almost forgot about it. Three weeks later I thought I better go back and look for more deep old coins, since it produced an old Indian. I was glad I took a second look. While in the back yard I stumbled across this 14K white gold mens wedding band. It was only 1 1/2" down in a trashy area. I guess we both passed it up because of the trash. My TH friend was speechless, that we both missed it the first time. The V3i pays for itself again!
