It was my last hunt in November 2013, 27 degrees out with the ground partially frozen. In October my hunting buddy an I was hunting and old Military camp site back in the late 1850's in the Utah Territory and found a brass hand guard to a Cavalry sword. I went back hoping to find the other part of the handle and or blade but did not expect to find what I did. I was approximately 75 yards North into the trees of where I found the guard when my White's DFX gave me a solid 81 reading (same 81 when I found the guard). I dug down about 8 inches and uncovered a sword guard except this one had the handle and blade attached, as I dug around it I discovered there was another sword underneath it. Thanks White's for an awesome product that helped me in finding 2 awesome relics ending an awesome year of hunting... You will here more from me again in 2014 there are still more relics to find!!!!
