New BeachHunter 300 finds gold

I recently upgraded my BeachHunter ID that I loved to the BeachHunter 300 with the new 12" coil. I met up with two other forum buddies for a search at the beach. It was a relatively calm day, however there was some rollers coming in making it a little difficult to stay on target. One of the nice things I like about the BeachHunter 300 is the pinpointing feature. It is very easy to use and accurate, making targets easier to dig. I was hunting in chest deep water.

Targets were few but the targets I was getting turned out to be good ones. Some coins, pewter pin etc. I was working from neck deep water to knee deep water trying to find the line of targets when at about waist deep water I received a solid tone and a yellow light on the 300.The minute I looked into the scoop mixed in with shells I spotted the awesome color of gold. It turned out to be a 14K blue sapphire ring weighing 6. 6 grams, and came out of the water in brand new condition. I couldn't even find a scratch on it. Thanks White’s for making such an awesome detector.

Update: And enough left over to pay for another!

The wife and I went to the mall today and although I didn't get a written appraisal we did go into three different jewelry stores. It is a real blue sapphire 14 k and although I thought it was a man’s ring they are saying women. Maybe that's why I can't get it off of my wife's finger since I brought it home.

Now to the good news the average from all three stores we went into came out to a value between $1,800.00 and $2,200.00! I am a happy camper....

Sincerely,

Bill G.
