Item Found: Relic

Location: Illinois

Metal Detector Used: Other (800-0284)

November 1st, 2012

White's Electronics,

My brother and I went metal detecting June 25, 2012. We know that there was a civil war camp two blocks away. We hunted for about one hour and I got this real good hit, it was saying a dollar, so I dug down about 5 inches, there it was looking right back at me. A us civil war belt plate! I found it with the DFX in Coin and Jewelry mode.

This was the third one we found since metal detecting. We don’t hunt a lot, but we have only had our metal detectors for about three years now. We have found silver rings, gold rings, silver coins, and all kinds of relics in the last three years. This is great hobby for any one and good exercise too! Plus I paid my detector off in a year with my finds. You just don’t know what you might find.

Your friend in Quincy Illinois
