We went to this 1835 plantation home and started our hunt. Ronnie and I started in the backyard and found a lot of interesting items from the 1800's. But when the owner came out to see what we had found she mentioned that union troops camped on her property during the civil war, with that we split up to cover more ground.

So while I was in the front yard I started finding bullets, then I got a big target that had my WHITE’S DFX going crazy. So I started to dig and I couldn't believe my eyes, a cannon ball with fuse intact. We carefully dug the cannon ball and put it in a 5 gallon bucket in the back of the truck. It was diffused and will be donated to a museum because of the fine shape it was still in.
