Hello all,

First let me say that I am sooo happy to have found the dfxonly forum. What a great place for info on my new DFX300. Last week I was invited to a group hunt at an old fairground site from the late 1800's.

Only being armed with a lesser brand of detector, I decided this was a good excuse to run out and purchase the detector I have been dreaming of, a new DFX300. After 3 hours of watching others in the group pull silver from the ground like they had magic magnets on a stick, I was getting pretty discouraged. But then I got a strong nickel signal and couldn't believe my eyes. Now I can't wait to get out every day and find more of these.
