White's Electronics

In 1972 I purchased a White’s detector. I don’t remember the model, but it definitely was not a discriminator. I lived in Long Island and three or four times a week I would hunt the beaches. Every February we took it to Porte Rico to hunt.

In 1978 my work forced me to give up metal detecting and I sold my detector. Every time we accumulated $18.75 we bought a $25 US Savings Bond, along with any gold, silver and jewelry. We put the bonds away and didn’t need the money.

In 2001 we were buying a house in Florida, and decided to cash in the bonds to help with the down payment. To our surprise we received $10,000! I just purchased an MXT and I’m back detecting!
