Hi White’s,

A few months ago, I bought my second White’s detector the MXT. I started out in the hobby with a Prizm II to see if it was something I would be interested in. Turns out, I love the hobby and decided to upgrade. Since I bought my MXT, my finds have just gotten better and better. In two and a half months that I have been using the MXT, I have found two gold rings, one of them a 14K and the other 18K. I have also found a silver ring with turquoise, a silver cross and a gold baptism charm. All of these finds were made in local parks here in the Willamette Valley or Oregon.

My coin finds have also gotten better. I found my first silver coin when I dug up a 1952 S Rosie dime. Since then I have also found a 1948 dime and a 1962 dime. I am still looking for my first Mercury dime, but I know it is just around the corner. The MXT has gotten me quite a lot of wheat pennies, my oldest being a 1924 that I found right here in Lebanon, OR. In addition I have also found nickels from the early 1940’s. Old coins are my favorite finds because it is fun to think about just how long they have been in the ground and the circumstances that lead them to being dropped years before I came along to dig them.

My best find to date is a button that I found in my town, in a local park, I found a Scovill cuff button that was identified as being manufactured in 1850-1865. After some research, the park that I found that button in used to be the home site of Jeremiah Ralston, who was one of the founding fathers of Lebanon and actually gave the town its name. It is fun to think that this button may have belonged to him or one of his descendants. This button is one of my most treasured finds.

I still have my Prizm II, it is a great machine to have as a backup and a good beginner detector for when I take friends out hunting with me. Even my three-year-old daughter loves to hunt with it, she gets a kick out of finding any coins at all. My MXT is an awesome machine. It has not only increased my finds but also improved the quality of my finds.

Thanks White’s for making such quality products.
