My son, a Corpsman in the US Navy in Portsmouth, VA took leave and flew home on May 3. My wife and I picked him up at the airport and we went out to lunch. Afterwards we went home and grabbed the detectors for a quick hunt at a local park. I was using my MXT Pro and was digging every non-ferrous target which had a consistent target ID number. After having dug numerous modern coins, pull tabs, square tabs and pieces of foil I got a hit that was reading a consistent "16". I pin-pointed the target and the MXT said it was 2" deep. I dug a small plug and a square tab was at the bottom. I was a little perplexed because the other similar sized pull tabs I'd just dug read "20" or "22" which is right in the nickle area. I probed the hole again with my pin-pointer and another target sounded off. I excavated the hole another 2" and found the most unusual item I've ever found. It was a gold bridge for 6 front teeth. Once out of the ground the target ID registered a solid "10" on the MXT. That explained the "16" reading for the square tab. The person that lost this must have taken a pretty good hit to the mouth to have it come loose and fall to the ground.
