Item Found: Other

Location: Maine

Metal Detector Used: Other (800-0329)

Dear White's Electronics,

Last week I told you about my 11 year old finding a silver ring at Wells Beach, Maine after detecting less than 20 feet, while I'd been out for hours and hit only a few bucks in loose change..... It only gets better!!!!

I had just purchased a new V3i and listed one of my 2 DFX E-series for sale on Craigslist. So I meet this guy who has just driven up to Glens Falls. We meet at Crandell Park where I planned to teach him how to use the detector.

This just happened 2 hours ago, so anyway. I turn the machine on, ground balanced it in prospecting mode. I sweep the ground right in front of me. I mean I didn't even take a step and pulled up a 24 inch, thick braided silver chain. Walk ten feet away and pull out not one but two silver quarters in the same hole. One was from 1938 and the other 1948. I found the necklace so I kept it.

He found the quarters so he kept them. SOLD! $600 bucks and whatever the chain is worth. It doesn’t get any better than that!
