Dear White's Electronics,

The snow will be flying soon, so I figured there is always next year for more goodies since the ground will be frozen soon here in cold Ohio. I received a phone call from a friend who said her friend’s husband lost his wedding band while staking wood for the winter. She asked if I could help find it. Without any hesitation I said “Yes!” I love to show off my DFX and how accurate it is.

We agreed on a day, time and once I started metal detecting I could see right away there was a lot of trash on the property. We looked for a few hours and found nothing but foil and lead from bullets along with shells. We decided to wait and look when the wood piles are gone this spring. I was bummed out because I never found the ring.

He told me the house was built in the 1800’s and how a stage coach traveled through his property all those years ago. I asked him if I could detect one more time in an area before I left. I was getting excited after hearing about the stage couch and who might have rode on it.

As I started detecting my DFX told me there was a silver dollar about 6 inches deep. I love the rush I get when my DFX tells me there is something old in the ground. When I dug down I didn’t find a silver dollar, but inside the hole was a solid silver pocket watch. I was pumped and just wondered if it was dropped by someone from the stage coach?

I can’t wait to go back to the property and hunt again. The owner was excited also and he let me keep the watch when I left.

Thanks White’s!

Johnny
