Metal Detector Used: Other (621-0167)

May 13th, 2014

Let me start off by saying whites rocks. I'm somewhat new to the metal detecting world and I am addicted. I've been trying out different metal detectors, most of them at a lower price range. Im currently saving for a $600-$800 machine. Anyways, I was metal detecting in an area that has a lot of history and has been metal detected by hundreds. I always think outside the box when I'm metal detecting. I decided to go off the trail in the woods where an old tree stump was. I started finding old beer caps. I knew there had to be coins. After a few drinks people lose stuff. I cleaned out 20-30 beer caps. Thats when I started finding coins. I found, 1 buffalo nickel (the date was worn off), 1 really fine mercery dime and 5 wheat pennies. I also found some silver jewelry. It felt great finding some old coins. I stayed persistent with this hobby because of all the postive support and success stories on this amazimg White's website. Thanks so much
