Item Found: Unusual

Location: Northeast

Metal Detector Used: Coinmaster Series (NONE)

December 1st, 2013

Every now & then I meet someone that inspires me. Such was the case at the 43rd. annual Empire State Metal Detecting Hunt. When I met Mike he had a metal detector in one hand & in the other hand he pulled a makeshift trailer with a bucket & two oxygen tanks. It seemed he was older with a respiratory disorder & yet he was competing against some of the best treasure hunters in the northeast. He did very well & I asked him how could he detect under these circumstances & he said that he didn't let obstacles keep him from pursuing his love for metal detecting.
