Location: California

Metal Detector Used: Other (800-0300)

Dear White's,

While beach hunting for coins and jewelry with my XLT and 9" coil I was in some quiet ground and I figured I’d crank up my gain and ac/dc sensitivity and see if I could find something deeper others had missed. To my amazement I dug up a 9.8 grain gold nugget in deep loose sand that was starting to get noisy with iron sand. I was very impressed even though it took a few tries to find the target as I thought it was a seed when in hand, completely unexpected.
