I was driving around looking for a place to hunt in a city near where I live. I spotted a large area of street tear out. I have heard these places can be gold mines but had never had the opportunity to hunt one before. Anyway, I figured that someone had beaten me to it. I was wrong! As I strolled along I got a good signal. I pulled out a 1908 Barber dime. I would have been happy if I had not found another coin, but this was just the beginning. My next signal turned out to be an 1857 flying eagle cent! Then I began finding indian head pennies. A lot of indian head pennies. 10 to be exact! With the oldest being 1870. But I wasn’t done yet. I found a beautiful 1888 V nickel in a pile of dirt at only 3 inches deep! But the best was yet to come. I got an iffy signal that I decided to dig. I was glad I did. It turned out to be a gorgeous 1876-S seated liberty dime ! I have been looking for a coin like this my entire d career! I was so pumped I could barely swing my detector after that! What a great day , and what great fun. This was a day I will not soon forget ! The Whites MXT PRO is a beast ! I love it !
