I was hired by a lady who lost her engagement ring in the snow over the Christmas weekend. I found the ring in her back yard where she was throwing snow balls. There were few signals in the backyard because it had 2 feet of snow coving the ground. i had to use two hands to swing my detector so i could get the coil under the new snow. i did a grid search in the area where a snow ball she had just thrown had landed. The ring was white Gold and very large, it rang in as a steady 17 vdi. i was 90% sure it was the ring before i dug it up. it was a really sweet signal. Good start to a new year.
