In July 2018 a small town in Western Montana tore out five blocks of very old residential streets and sidewalks. This project took over two months to complete, so I was there 3 or 4 evenings a week finding many coins. The big afternoon was finding a 1900 S Barber Quarter, then a few minutes later I found a 1928 S SLQ, the first SLQ in 35 years of metal detecting! Then a few moments later in the same block a 1964 D Washington Quarter was found. There were 14 silver coins liberated, many wheat and Indian cents, V nickels and several old Montana area tokens. The detector of choice is my DFX purchased back in 2004. Thanks White’s!
