Details

The GMT is White’s “Goldmaster” — used in goldfields around the world! This detector ignores the harsh ground found in gold-bearing areas to simplify prospecting and find nuggets large and small, and coins, too.

The GMT is made for gold country, with 48 KHz operating frequency — the best for gold — and a waterproof search coil that’s ready for streams and rivers.

High-end features like the iron target analyzer make hunting easier. Manual controls are available for advanced users, and each option includes a recommended initial setting.

Also onboard: variable self-adjusting threshold, Grab Pushpad for setting ground balance instantly, automatic ground balance, and “Follow the Paystreak” feature, which displays the amount of magnetic minerals in the ground.

This is one well-built machine. I’ve owned one for several years now. It was purchased with the sole intent for using it as a gold prospecting detector. I’ve spent over 30 consecutive years studying locations and learning the subject. Since I was 8 years old I’ve been swinging a detector. The GMT is usable for treasure, coins, any and all metals, and of course, gold. I know of its reliability, and appreciate the fine craftsmanship in the original factory tuning, which still remains flawless today. Ground balancing is a breeze, and this is one user-friendly machine. White’s has taken a lot of the guess-work out of using the GMT in the field. The CA gold country is notorious for ‘hot-rocks’ and iron-rich soils. With a little practice and reliance on the i.d. system, you can waste little time messing with Leavitrite, and you will find real gold. The black sand tracker is phenomenal for locating potential pay streaks in placer zones. This is a fun machine and thanks for the chance to review it here.
